Just so everyone knows, I was Arsenal on the old boards. I wasn't on the boards a lot, but some might remember me. Just letting everyone know, because they might be saying “Some Newbie Shouldn't Get Involved” or whatever, well I'm not that new, I do know about the old GBN.

I would say each board should have 3 board specific mods.

And then there should be 2 or 3 mods that can mod every board.

That's just my 2 cents though.

I agree that the groups shouldn't have any specific names. Mainly because most of the names suggested so far just sound kind of cheesy and lame. I would divide it up like this:

GB Mods: Covers the General, Comic, and GB3 forums.

Paranormal Forum Mods: A lot of people seem to want this forum to have it's own seperate group.

Fan Works Mods: The guys that cover everything the next two groups don't.

Props Mods: Everyone seems to be suggesting this forum have it's own group.

GBI Mods: Obviously, only those in charge of GBI and some of the franchises should be permitted to mess with that stuff. Somebody who's not involved in the system wouldn't know what to do with half of it, after all.

Misc. Mods: The Leftovers, really. But especially the Misc. Forum itself, as it's the busiest board on the site.
I'd have to agree there.

I vote for Razor Edge's mod plan and no on proposition 2.43 concerning cat burglary and share cropping.

I think all mods should have a certain knowledge about what they are modding. So not only can they help uphold the peoples rules, they can also help answer problems people may have. whatever sections are fine with me as long as the mods convey the knowledge as I mentioned, and they must be people with a good record in this community. That is all the terms that i beleive are important in creating mod groups and mods.

First of all, put me in the “I don't really think the Mods need to be seperated and given different titles” category. Having different Mods over different Forums was tried in this board's earliest days and didn't last too long.

Daryl Scoleri has the second-best idea: don't actually have the Mods restricted to individual forums, but if they want to pick a Mod group name for cosmetic purposes (to better signify their own areas of expertise and specialties) that'd be fine.

But if we “must” have stratified Mods, I think some of the ideas mentioned so far are good–but might I suggest some more refined titles…

Ghostmaster
From the old GBI game. Maybe this could be the title of the GBI Mod. It could also work for Administrators or even “Miscellaneous” Mods…
(Hm…I just thought of this as I was typing: maybe even call all the Mods “Ghostmasters”…with the Admins being “Head Ghostmaster”s…“GBI Ghostmaster”…and Misc. could be just “Ghostmaster”…)

Parapsycologist or Occult Scholar
One of these would be perfect for Paranormal Mods

Historian or Archivist
Maybe Fan Fiction guys or GB trivia buffs

Engineer or Tech Consultant
This would be the prop guys
