Nominate Mod Groups!

It would be best to choose 2 or 3 Ghostheads to moderate a certain forum. I,e you have 3 ghostheads who are moderators and have a forum like say the misc forum. Those three mods have the job of making sure there forum is kept to a respective manner. Then you have another 2-3 mods running the comic forum and so on.
What ever forum you have you stick to and keep it running smooth. You cant interfear with other forums unless the mods for that certain forum are offline and bad vibes are brewing.

netsolo
1. Occult Reference Net Curators (Paranormal/Real World Group)

2. GBI Executives (GBI RPG)

3. Game Show Hosts (Misc/Non GB stuff Group)

4. Egon's Lab Assistants (Prop group)

5. Class 5 Entities (Websites/art Group)

6. Those Guys on TV (Movies/Cartoons Group)

I think that pretty much takes care of everything… with some name suggestions as well.

This is GREAT! A classic example of what I am looking for. They are all GB related, they don't boast “I am better than you”, and they just plain rock.

I nominate this! :-)

I think that 3-4 mods per forum, with a cap of 2 active moderators at one time. For forums such as Paranormal and Props, I think that recommendation by a few members should be required, since those require a certain amount of knowledge on the subject.

Ok heres my problem with making the mods only allowed to moderate a certain forum.. if a problem goes down in a forum there not allowed to moderate and the 2 or 3 other moderators that are supposed to moderate that forum arnt online then no one could fix the problem.. if the mods are being trusted enough to moderate one forum why wouldent they be trusted to moderate anouther forum? I think its more effective to allow all moderators to moderate all forums… I think we were doing a good job before there were no problems I still dont really understand the reasoning on dumping the past mods. If im wrong and you guys as a community thought we were doing a bad job then im sorry, but i think most would agree we were doing a good job before and dont see a need for this change.

I agree. The whole point of mod groups is to specialize. I never wanted to limit access to mods. A mod will be a mod for all. However, I want this to change the way people look at mods. So when someone EARNS their title, it will be a specialized title because they excelled in a specific department in the community.
