Nomination Requirements?

I believe it was popularity… So basically we've got like a middle school student council thing going on.

I dont know how i got it, I got a IM saying I was nominated. Crapped my pants. lol. Ive been around a while, I was in a fan fic team, I guess its really just about experience and what youve contributed. I dont really know tho, it wasnt popularity, thats for sure. I dont think i was popular, but I would do a good job, I care about the place as much as anyone here does. Well of the ones that do care. Ive seen problems arise that I wish I could have actually Done something about, but could only sit and watch it grow worse. As a Mod, I could help stomp the problems dead. ITd be all good in the end.

I still think this election is pointless. Buts thats just me, and before everyone starts sayn, o its because he was not nominated or some half-assed reason like that, i simply say that i seek no power on these boards or any other message boards, as i do have enought time in college and running my paintball team. I do come back here for certain reasons, and to keep in contact with certain individuals, but for the rest of you people, you can well, no coment.

I was like that too. I never wanted to be a mod. Always was too busy. But hey, I was nominated, why not go for it?

the thing that gets me, is people have been nominated for boards that they most likely dont know shit about, and the experience issue is one of the main factors i am complaing about, only people that have been on the boards for over 3 years should be able to run. Thus not-allowing 3/4s of the people to run.

I agree to a point, but some people that are nominated, and winning, know what theyre doing where theyre nominated. Jesusfreak, he knows his spot, he was a mod, he can do a good job, half the people in the fan fic area, most of us were either in a team, or have experiences in writing fics. I understand that the way the mods were selected are confusing, i dont quite get it myself

jesusfreak is one of the few the deserve to have the job, but others do not, others that have been here for maybe 6 months or less do not, i still say the 3 year mark would wipe out half of the people. The people that dont deserve to be running, and no i havnt been here 3 years so

at least the majority of the people where rightfully elected, no n00bs or people not being qualified for their jobs winning. Bout time something was done properly.
