Non Sony Ghostbusters: The Video Games Releasing October 23rd In Europe

According to kotaku, Atari have today announced that the non Sony versions of the ghostbusters game will be released on october 23rd 2009.

I can't add a direct link atm because i'm righting this on my Ps3.

Ahem, anyway now that I've got that moment of spelling/grammar correction out of my system…it's good to see a date for the other versions of the game. I'm looking forward to picking up the Wii and DS versions. I did however ‘grey import’ the game, just my way of saying “Up yours Sony!” (Much like the numerous other UK fans that imported it!)

Having thus far not seen a single bit of promotion of the game in the shop windows of my local GAME and Gamestation, I am convinced that in addition to those shops not feeling it was worth having a release event, that the success of the game here in the UK and Europe has been negatively affected.

Bravo Sony, bravo.

I managed to get mine for the 360 from the US via import, only cost me £36.00. Great game but shame the rest of Europe has to wait until October. Sony/Atari could have made a heck of a lot more money with a single global release IMO.

The game is going to suffer in the long run, I'm not confident it has sold well in the UK, like Kingpin, I've seen almost no advertising for it in GAME and Gamestation stores. With other more anticipated titles coming around the same time as the PAL release, it may take a back seat with a lot of gamers.
