You guys know that Dan Aykroyd will be in the upcoming Britney Spears movie playing her Dad?! Dear God no!!!!!!

I hope Dan gets paid a lot of money for this!!!

Known for quite some time (www.ghostbustershq.com/newsarchives2000.html) but here's the benefit to this. Think of all the kids and pre-teens that are going to flock to see the film. Okay, now think of all the people that were unfortunate to have sat through Pearl Harbor, but reguardless saw Aykroyd playing the Navy Intellegence officer.

Combine these two and add on the fact that Comedy Central is starting to air old SNL episodes again and what does it all equal?

Exposure… to new audiences which will hopefully create demand.

What bothers me is that Akyroyd mentioned to a couple of Canadian papers that he was ready to retire and wanted to end on a high note. A film that was a retrospective of his long and successful career. I really hope that this isn't his idea of such a film judging by the preview they showed on Entertainment Tonight this evening.

On the contrary.. this film is a bust. (sorry about the pun. and I don't mean Britney's, I mean a bust as in Ghostbusters… kids…) It's totally overshadowed by Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Majestic, E.T. 20th Anniversary re-release, Gangs of New York, Star Wars: Episode II, and more. haha

But look on the bright side… uh…. uh… uh… apparently Britney does a strip show in the flick…
that'll prbly be the ONLY highlight of the movie…
other than Dan being in it of course.
