That would be a good idea in a perfect world. This feature could easily be implimented, however it would potentially cripple the database if someone decided that they wanted to view 1500 threads per page. I decided on a standard number (15 threads per page) because it was just that, standard.
Customization is great, but as this website gets more and more popular (we went from 2 million to over 4 million unique users in the month of January alone) I need to find more ways to conserve both bandwidth and CPU power. According to
alexa.com,
Ghostbusters.net is over 50 times more popular than
Ghostbusters.com, not counting repeated visits and pageviews. This is just based on initial visits/ requests from people just typing in the URL or clicking over from a search request.
What I plan on doing though is creating “First” and “Last” links that allow you to jump easily to the first and last pages if the number of pages exceed around 10 pages or so. Look for this update soon (when I get around to it).
