It says in the article that the lights on the pack are used for seeing your health, power, etc.

The blue beams were also something that I noticed at first. The angle of the gun and the “new” ecto are really no problems to me, though.

I really wish we could get a chance to drive the ecto, too. Maybe they'll change their minds about that…

I feel like drilling a hole in my head.

I wonder if it means they are looking for beta testers when it says on the game site “Now Hiring”…?

I took the liberty of recording the G4 footage of the game using one of those desktop recorders. Sadly the sound's out of sync and the video isn't as fluid… but it should serve for the time being until a better copy is posted:

Well I am glad this is out. Now big question:

IF this the “sequel”, then why the GB 1 remake in the game? Do we play the other movies AND a new story?

The Slimer bust is the first level of the game, and presumably designed to help you go through and learn how to bust ghosts for the rest of the game. The Stay Puft and Library levels, whilst being obvious homages to the first film aren't going to be the main story of the game… apparently the Stay Puft level occurs fairly early on.


Lanny, mr pecker covered the basics of the new lights. However I hadn't noticed the change in the way the gun's hooked… it's not a huge problem for me, but if they figure the fans will clamour enough if it isn't done then they'll probably change it.

As for Ecto-1, I actually like the idea behind her appearance in the game. She keeps the commercial graphics which make sense in a way, but returns to the more streamlined roofrack of the first movie.

The particle beam arc lightning is a valid point though.

As for the cartoonish design, that'll likely be for the Wii port of the game. I don't know why he has two Proton Guns, but that'll presumably be fixed before too long. :p

It just goes to show you that if you stick to your guns that people will start listening to you. Im sure we've all done the petitions and did the footwork to make sure that this would happen for the fans one day. I think it was variety magazine or someone that said Ghostbusters was on the top of the franchise “make into a videogame” list. Above godfather and all the rest. Feels good to know that this is something the fans did. Ghostbusters was the first film i ever saw , and now it will be the first video game of its kind for next gen and you gotta love that!

That's the illuminated vent on the top of the Proton Gun, Lanny. You can see by the hose that the gun's still at the side of the Proton Pack in that shot. He'd his PKE instead.

there's another thing I want changed. It's actually a big thing.

Ray says “ Don't look at the trap when it's closing ”.

And I can't help the fact that you're just standing there and you should really shield your eyes from the trap.

It was actually bad that in the cartoon they did the same thing and stand there. I just can't stand it.

Oh and if you're gonna do a stick with the original roofrack, please stick with the original roof rack

or do a hybrid between both or stick with GB2's version. And I also agree with all the stuff said above about the proton beams and etc.
