When activated, a set of three vents cut into the top of the gun illuminates bright white.

In the screen grab you've posted of the game above, you can clearly see these three vents under the red arrow. The white/grey mass beneath that is the Clippard valve on the front of the gun, the black clynder with the silver top that you can see more clearly in the second reference pic I've posted. In fact, it would appear that the gun is hung correctly in the above screenshot from the game whilst being incorrectly hung in another.

Looks like it to me. Yeah the vents are on the top of the gun(if you're holding it with all the controls facing upright) The side with the heat sink has always faced the back(the right side of the gun if you're holding it) when mounted on the pack as far as I know. That's right, with the vents facing out like that.

Again, like the comic and other stuff and to an extent, Ghostbusters 2( :p ) There are so many variables within the fanbase I'm sure as far as what people want to see. Rest assured they're probably trying to find a happy medium where everyone can be pleased. As well as what “normal people” might want in the game. :-) As far as gameplay. Everything looks simply amazing so far!

*The first screenshot I posted - Yes - It was messed up…This particular shot, though VERY grainy due to the fact that it was blown up from grab from the “.flv” file, shows that, at least in this part of the game, it was hung correctly . The screenshot doesn't due it justice…

true enough, but we just all want a perfected game. If it is, it would be the best GB game. EVER.

I have to say I'm very impressed with everything I've seen thus far, but I have to admit that the particle beam lightning does look off. However, I understand games are always shown before things are finalized by nesseccity.

^That is a bootleg version of the new Cloverfield trailer. The quality is bad, but I guess that will have to do until the trailer is “officially” released.

I agree that the beams do look a little different, as does slimer. I hope they look exactly like or as close to the movie once the game's released.

Anyone got any links to the game trailers which don't require flash player? (I'm on my Wii)
