All right guys, I know that no-one will give a sh!t about this but I'd like your opinion.

This far we've seen that europeans versions of the game will have dubbed voices with the original dubbing actors (according to the german and spanish vers.)

Now I'm quite afraid that the french version won't have the original dubbers so I wanter to know your idea with the situation:

Peter Venkman:

Bertrand Murat, who does the voice of Bill Murray in Ghostbusters and RGB is NOT Bill Murray's latest dubber (it's Bernard Métraux, who did the voice in Coffee and Cigarettes and Lost In translation).
I'd really like Murat to be Venkman but his latest movie is from 2004 and he's now the Edouard VII's théatre director…
Is there even a chance he'll be doing it?

Ray Stantz:

Almost no problem here, Richard Darbois kept doing movie-dubbing so I think he'll be in.

Egon Spengler:

Jean-Pierre Leroux is a dubber only so as Richard Darbois, I hope to hear him as Egon.

Winston Zeddemore:

Med Hondo, like the two above is famous for being a very good dubber, he does Eddy Murphy's voice in french.

As the other languages get their original actors dubbers, do you think the french version will get the same treatment?

Edit: I know that nobody will know what's going happen but I just want your opinion

I'm not sure what you're hoping to get as a response.

As most of us won't have ever heard the foreign dubbing artists, there isn't much point giving an opinion on them as we won't know whether they were good at it or not.

They're all pretty good, they all did RGB too so it would be REALLY, absolutely great to get them back.
I'd just like to know if you think, as they did for german and spanish, that the producers will try to get the french dubbers.

Yeah, re-reading what I was asking, It's completely stupid.

Would skanker have an answer?

Anyway, I'd rather have the possibility to have spoken english with french subtitles than a bad french dub.

You all know that Dan Aykroyd is fluent in French right?

I guess if he wanted to, he could do the french version, but I don;t think he wants to say the same lines.

OXM gets hands-on with Ghostbusters game, talks with Ramis
Posted on April 20th, 2009

The new issue of OXM, which will be hitting subscriber mailboxes this week, and retail shelves by next week, features a four-page feature on the Ghostbusters game. And if you think it’s just the same old stuff recycled, think again. Their hands-on time includes:

  • Playthrough of the first 1.5 to 2 hours of the game. Starting at the firehouse, through the Sedgewick, through the library, to patrolling the streets of NYC during Stay-Puft’s attack. It’s most of what they have teased up until now, but finally in linear orderm with full voice-overs.
  • Played four-player multiplayer for the first time, in which co-op is similar to Gears of War 2’s Horde. That is to say, four of you working together against waves of ghosts.
  • Exclusive interview with Harold Ramis, wherein he teases Egon’s fate in GB3 and says he regrets Egon “loosening up” in GB2
  • And lots and lots of screens!
And as always, for those who don’t get the magazine, we’ll all point and laugh, and then after a few weeks, you’ll get to read it online at OXM’s website. (Proton Charging)
