Okay, now you need to repeat that part of the level so you can do it for yourself. It should be easy, now that you've seen your 10-year-old do it.

I'm a newbie on the PS3 version. I still keep getting stuck on the hotel level where the floorgets flooded.

Let me guess…the candelabra. The trick is to be as far away from them as you can be while still keeping them in sight.

Nix;169871That's exactly the problem I'm having! It's tricky (for me anyway at this point) to stay away from them, and even know where they are soon enough to aim before it's too late! I'll keep that in mind though next time I play the game (I'm currently trying to beat a level on a different game at the moment). Thanks.

calideson, my suggestion would be to stand at the beginning of a hallway and just start blasting away at the candles before running down the hallway. The ones that aren't ghost/possessed will explode and that should help give you a heads up as to where the ghosts will be coming from.

They also throw their candles at you. Keep this in mind. There's a “jump/dodge” key that you can use–indeed, that's what it's for. BUT, this takes hair-trigger timing. I find that the game is much improved by an XBOX 360 controller; in fact, I have one attached to my PC to play it.
