If its releasing next fall and we're getting this now, I can't help but wonder what its going to be like at the end of next summer.

Either way, this game and the news thats coming with it, all but confirms that I'm definately dressing up as a Ghostbuster somewhere down the line at a convention or event.

Anyway, I'm glad we finally got a hi-res shot of Ray, he looks great.

Guys I have some Great news and some bad news,

I will start with the Good The game is currently Reservable at gamestop, It comes out in October of 2008 and because of that reason i only put 5 bucks down, its october but that is unless things change.

I feel its fine with me if its next year because if they have that much promo images and footage at this point they have alot of time to tweek and improve things and make a great GB experience. Lets all hope this makes up for the atrocities of the so called ghostbusters games of the past.

Now for the bad news according to game informer the Ecto 1 is not drivable
Let me repeat
“NOT DRIVABLE” but it did say it will mysteriously be involved in
gameplay.

Now its still early and that may be changed but as of now thats how it is.
Other info in the magazine said
“multiplayer is still under construction but nothing has been confirmed”

The game is using auto healing and overheating of the packs instead of ammo and health pickups.

They are still working on the appropriate actions to take when players cross the streams..

and at one point in the game new yorks central park will be transformed into a graveyard.

its still early but its looking to be a great game (crosses Fingers)

Also i will not be getting it on wii or ps2.. it just looks too kiddie for MY taste (look at the pics for it and you will understand) and if anyone wants to play those versions great and have fun..

Lol, I could imagine the Ecto-1 being used in a Jurassic Park type scene where you're trying to outrun a Ghost T-Rex or something… Now if the Ecto-1A is taken over by a ghost and is a boss battle, well… That'd be funny.

Somewhere mentioned a Halloween release, I forget where now as it's been lost in the plethora of articles I've read online… but I think a Halloween 2008 release would make a lot of sense.

I'm still waiting for my 360 problems to be fixed before I reserve any games for it, but I can still put some money down on the Wii version.

I'll probably pre-order closer to release date. Games somtimes do get delayed.

Yeah, like SW: The Force Unleashed… it was announced as releasing this month back in may, but 2 weeks later they pushed it back to April or so.

I hope that in this case though that the scheduled release is actually an overestimate than an underestimate.

Well according to GameStop.com, when pre-ordering, they say it is scheduled to ship on 10/7/08. As said though, this is subject to change.

wow wow wow, i'm late to the party… hmmm… 2008 NEEDS to be a ghostbusters Revival in all ways: New special edition dvd, new real ghostbusters dvds, sceenings of both films back in select theaters, but damnit they're probably not going to bother with the expense just for us fans…

oh well, I really didn't expect this game to suddenly POP up out of no where- suddenly like this anyway… it's crazy. Ever have a dream in which something great was happening for you then you woke up and realized it was just a dream? I don't want to wake up from this damnit…
