I think we should call for the theme tune to be rereleased in the charts. Movie theme tunes are released to help promote the movies, this could be the first time a song is released in the charts to promote a game. I mean, why not?

An original song, maybe, but highly unlikely. It would be interesting if only for the distinction of being the first commercially distributed song for a video game. If you mean the original 1984 track…well..it's a 23 year old song! It's highly dated and doesn't fit in musically with anything released since the Reagan Administration. While the song itself is an 80s staple it doesn't have any place in 2008 era music aside from nostalgia.

The game should have it's own sound. I mean sure, the Ray Parker Junior version has to be in somewhere (preferably during the epilogue/end credits), but the soundtrack should be new and reflect the tone of the game. It'd be nice to see a known film composer (Maybe Gregson-Williams or Marco Beltrami) to work on the project.

I think that the move in the part of Vivendi and Sony to release this game means two things. One: That Vivendi saw how successful the Scarface game was last year and hopes to bank on Ghostbusters in the same way; and Two: Shows that Hollywood is beginning to consider video games as a serious form of entertainment. Sure Ackroyd and Ramis arn't quite the shakers they once were, but they're still impressive players. Add to the fact that this is being treated creatively as a sequel means that we should not only recognize where the franchise came from but also that it's still fresh and interesting.

Elmer Bernsteins score is being used for the game which is definately the best way to go about it.

Ray Parker Jrs theme could still be released. I think it'd do well, even today.

I think they should use the Ray Parker Jr track when you are making your way to a job or when you finish a level and defeat the boss. The rest of the time they should just stick with the original Elmer Bernstein score.

I can't believe I completely forgot about that until it was mentioned… This game just wouldn't be complete without an intro and ending similar to Ghostbusters 1 and 2.

I'm sure the intro and the end will be similar to the first two since it's A) being written by Aykroyd and Ramis, and B) because they're really making this game in the style of GB1 and it just seems to reason the beginning and end would reflect that.

Other than that, I'm sure we can all agree that the Ray Parker Jr. song will mostly likely be included. I don't think Sony is crazy enough not to.

I'm definately going to pre-order the 360 version closer to release. Hopefully they will have some kind of Limited/Collector's Edition with a bunch of cool extras.

I'll probably get the DS version as well. But I'll have to wait and see with that one.

Lets hope we see a new Blu-Ray & HD-DVD release of the original films with new extras in glorious high def to tie in with the release of the new game.

I'd like to see the characters smoke in the game but I don't think that they'll show the characters smoking. If they do this then I'm pretty sure they'd have to raise the certification which I don't think they want to do as they want young kids as well as adults to be able to play it.

I wonder what kind of language we'll hear in the game. Dick, dickless, shit, bastard etc were all used in the movies. It'll be interesting to hear what kind of language will be allowed as well as the inclusion or non inclusion of smoking.

Anyone got any info on what is allowed in a game depending on it's certificate?

Well, I would imagine words like shit, bastard, or dick as well as smoking might be acceptable in “T” game as long as such instances are fairly infrequent.

raitings = meh. The movies have edited versions so I would assume the game should do the same. Also will there be a Free roam mode for the 360, or just like some random arena ghostbusting thing? Just i'm worried about playing the game once, then knowing where EVERY ghost will come from, know all the patterns and such. To me that sort of thing just kills a game :-(
