Does anyone agree that the game should have a puzzle/strategic element?

For example, there is a poltergeist which keeps on turning the lights off, place a trap next to the lightswitch and hide round the corner with the foot pedal. Ghost comes and you stamp on the trap.

I was just wondering if the story from the game would make a nice comic book. i remember that they also done that with Indiana Jones and the fate of atlantis. First the game came and then the comic book.

I love those art pieces. I hope we will see some more characters soon. I am curious about Peck and Janine.

I also hope that the ghostbusters have to do research in the game that it would be a little more then only shooting and trapping. Like in the resident evil games where you also have to solve some puzzles.

Best regards,

robert

yeaa man thatd be cooool!

i'd think they would do something puzzle/strategic -ish with the slime blower and the things that it supposively can do.

There has been no word yet on whether you'll be able to shorten or lengthen your stream.

Remember in the first movie?

Spengler: “Venkman shorten your stream I don't want my face burnt off”.

I think that being about to select the strength of your proton stream would add a nice variation to the gameplay. For example, specific proton stream requirements for particular ghosts.

I could care less about the shade of color of the uniform on Ray's crotch and other such nonsense, and that isn't something the developers should waste their time on.

Here's what I've been dreaming about for years:

- GTA-style open-world gameplay. Random ghosts/side missions/fun stuff around, but of course the main story is there for when you want to continue.

- Going with the ManHellton theme, at some point later in the game you would find yourself in a NYC version of Hell. It would be like Zelda's Dark World, and perhaps you could travel between the worlds at will.

- While much of the game takes place in the city, there would be missions that take place elsewhere, perhaps taking the ideas from RGB episodes. Haunted castles, junkyards, farms, carnivals, forests, etc.

We pretty much know we're at least not getting the first one (open-world), but I'm just putting it all out there.

I'm not a fan of the GTA series, although I do think that the freedom to drive the Ecto 1 anywhere in New York city is appealing. The driving sections would have to offer some kind of fun challenge though. Simply driving to the next area would become tiresome and repetative.

Although the driving may work in a single player game I don't think that this would work in multiplayer as one person would be driving and the other players who are passengers in the Ectomobile would have nothing to do.

I've read that although the Ecto 1 will appear in the game the player will not be able to drive it.

Obstacle: New York traffic.

what with the “WTF” or the “?!?!” may make you seem like a douche when you're just simply trying to improve and suggest what the game should look like.

*I'll try to sound less “douchie” next time I “rant” or point out something…I'm just abit particular I suppose :p …

Unless, the other person can aim and fire?

Love this idea.

By selecting “Put Away” your character puts the walkie talkie away.
I love that you explain this option.

Oh and to comment on the whole looking at the trap thing versus blindness. I say its a moot point. As SOON as Ray says don't look at the trap, egon says “I looked at the trap, Ray” Which obviously, was a joke they were going for and not worrying about the technical issues it would cause in the making of a video game 25 years down the line.

That being said? I say Ray thought it would be a good idea if you didn't look at the trap and Egon did anyhow, proving it was fine. As to why they turn away when he closes the trap, I imagine its like not looking when you rip a band-aid off, so to speak.

I would've thought the retina scorching brightness as the trap closes would be reason enough not to look at the trap! Seeing as how it's third person though I stand by my “shield eyes” animation suggestion!

As for driving the Ecto, I think it'd be fun but ultimately would have no real purpose unless there was a driving “mission”. Driving around works in the GTA context, but in my opinion I'm unsure it would work here. But who knows…we shall see!
