Maybre they can make a level where you have to hunt on a headless person on a motor or a horse witrh the ecto mobile.

best regards,

How about the ride in the ecto mobile be part of the loading screen where you make some last minute adjustment to your equipment. example strength, charge, length of stream, and type.

Another Idea would to be able to look at the rest of the ghostbusters and ask for advise or tips.

(*egon): Its a class four full floating vapor …… i suggest using this type of stream too ….

(*ray): Use your Pke to find out more about it so you can find it weakness and use it against him.

(*peter) : Never leave without giving the owner the bill

i was just going through this thread one page at a time when I got to page 8 and then decided to check out Game Informer's website and was blown away.

The Ghostbusters are all over the website. They are promoting the hell out of this game and im going nuts over it!

If they release a demo, anyone else gonna pass on it? I didn't think about this until today and you know, I think I might actually do such a thing. I'm all about immersion and doing things in a certain way and it would just feel right to have it so the first time my character is learning to use the proton pack in game, it will be the first time I'm learning to use it.

If they do a demo, I'd like to see them tie it into the main story, so instead of just throwing out a level of gameplay, have it as that big important interview for a new job, just that the new job just so happens to be with the ghostbusters. That way, you could have the guys (or Janine) run you through the history of the company, before showing you the basic control mechanism (a roof top assault course, for example) and perhaps blasting a dummy ghosts down in the basement.

The whole thing could end with a “Don't call us, we'll call you”

Wont ruin any of the story, although, you could have bit's around the firehouse that hint towards it, it's original, gives the techies a chance to show off the new engine, and gives a little info for the uninitiated.

but when it comes to demos, you have to win the audience over

im not sure if a full on tutorial level will win them over.

i really like your idea if it was up to me i'd be down haha

I wouldn't play a demo. It would ruin the exitement and feel of playing the real thing for the first time.

I can't wait to play this thing.

But I have to be honest–one of the important aspects of this franchise seems to be overlooked. The proton streams look bad. Like AlamDV effects bad. Like I hand animated them for Freddy VS Ghostbusters bad.

I hope it's not too late to change these.

Well, they have time to refine it, but it's a question of programming as well as art. Video game effects, particularly something like the proton beam which has to randomly wind from the thrower to another surface, is being procedurally generated. Maybe they don't have a whip smart programmer artist working on it, but just as likely is that there is a horsepower consideration too - it may not be possible to ask the console to render all the key details needed to closely match the movie beams, on the fly.

Fingers crossed though, eh?

Like I said to you on your board, hank. Good to see you on here.

OH shameless plug.
