Greatest GB news in a very long time and seems to be getting around. So happy that they are all dedicating themselves to it and even minor roles are reprised. Just can't understand why, with everyone coming on board, sigourney and moranis would decline.

Got some MORE Ghostbusters news. Sure you can handle it. Vivendi have confirmed to Variety writer Ben Fritz that the games will feature both multiplayer and co-op. Co-op? Be still, my beating heart. Also, up *there*, you'll find a screenshot we managed to get hold of earlier today (click for a bigger version). It's picture tells a thousand words. Most of them being childish squeals. Now if you'll excuse us, we've got to go practice some official, canonical, co-op one-liners. Something about two in the box, and we being fast.

Well, this at least confirms for now that you'll be using the packs from the movies, which I'm happy about. I was afraid of them creating new ones.

Seeing that picture over and over just made me realize one thing… I must have respect for Mr. Stay Puft cause well… for some reason I never leave out Mr. when refering to him.

I was just reading Variety and they said

All four members of the movie team – Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray and Harold Ramis – will be giving voice and likeness rights for the game. Some supporting castmembers have signed up as well, including William Atherton, Brian Doyle Murray and Annie Potts.

Brian Doyle Murray? Was he that guy who predicted ‘The End of the World’ in GB2?

Finally we have official confirmation!!

It's basically what I was expecting. The only thing I'm surprised at are that William Atherton and Annie Potts are involved.

I've read that the ghostcatching equipment will be upgradable. I've also heard that there may be further sequels!

Great to hear that it's coming out on all the major platforms!!

Yeah, i think the first article posted mentioned the possibility of there being a series of games. Presumably that relies upon sales of the intitial chapter, although - frankly - i think they will sell big style on the name alone. If the game can live up to the weight of the reputation… well then, it's going to be good times is all i'm saying!

Sooooo it's Terminal Reality who are developing the game..hmmmmmmm…. they don't seem to have a great track record. I'm slightly dubious at this point.

Yes, movie based games have turned out crap over the past years. With Ghostbusters, it couldn't be that hard to make gameplay wise. You run around, shoot at ghosts, throw the trap out and that's it. Now what the developer is going to have to focus on is maybe *A LITTLE* platforming, certain ghosts that involves puzzle solving and um………that's all I have right now. Just make catching ghosts interesting because doing the same method over and over could be boring.

Brian Doyle Murray played the psychiatrist at Park View Hospital in Ghostbusters II and the town Mayor in Groundhog Day.
