Not Mattel related, but I won a set of the Extreme Ghostbusters on eBay a couple of days ago. There a bit incomplete in terms of kit, but there is a pack or 2 and lots of traps. I am hoping to do some customising and paint the figures and the kit up to match the series. Not sure how well it's going to go though. I cannot imagine Mattel ever touching the EGB's as it probably isn't considered a big seller so this is my best bet I figure.

My RGB's have still not arrived :-( I'm hoping they come today. I received a customs invoice yesterday for £24 which I paid and was informed they would come today but i'm not sure. It was gone 5pm when I paid the invoice so it seems a bit to short of a time period.

On the plus side, I've pretty much finished my Eduardo and Kylie EGB customs. They don't look to bad really, they will do the job that's for sure! I'm not sure I can be bothered to do an Egon or Roland as the base figures are so far off i'm not sure where to start.

If the RGB figures ever appear at a discounted cost I may buy a second set and use them to create some EGB figures of the same scale, although it would be a huge task that i'm not sure I would manage very well.

Found a set of the retro action figures today at toys r us. Egons my favorite of these.

Yea, mine arrived the day of the last post and I would probably agree with Egon being favorite.

Great figures but I do wish I left them unopened as they looked much nicer on display that way than they do loose.

This is why I almost always buy 2 of them (not saying everyone can afford that, hell half the time I can't!)…

But yea, toy around with them a bit. I ended up really happy with the way I displayed mine.

Any chance of a pic of the way you displayed yours Doc, if it's not too much trouble? Mine are just stood rather boringly upright as I can't seem to get a pose or anything to work so maybe I could “borrow” your idea?

I'll try to snap a pic for you later… They're sorta similar to this though:



I put Egon and Peter's packs on them though, and just hung the neutrona wand from the pack, so that not all of them are holding them.

It looks pretty cool with Egon using the PKE, Pete using the Sniffer, and Winston and Ray ready to blast any spooks that pop up!

Thanks for that DV, I really like the idea of having a couple of the packs showing and need to do the whole grabbing the wand look with someone! Definatley given me some ideas, need to do some re-displaying the weekend I think!
