Ongoing series??

The four issue Legion arc was the set up for the series… but the delays (And yes, maybe some financial stuff, Divia) plans for that are shelved indefinately.

The Legion Hardcover is the full collection of the series, plus the Convention Exclusive Zeddemore Factor, in colour (It was printed in black and white, and was gonna be a 0 Issue) and concept art… which was partly produced for those who missed all, or part of the series.

You know… i think the REAL problem is that Sony tried to do a HALF ARSED rerelease of Ghosbusters in general.

They did the following:

Comic Book
Novel
SMALL Toy Line
Head Rockers
2 RGB DVDs (UK)
Gb1&2 Boxset.

Not exactly much is it?

A full scale re-release should have seen a video game, more books, more RGB/EGB dvds (how difficult is that? REALLY?) a bigger toy line and yes, a NEW CARTOON based on the legion animation. With a tone that was completely different from RGB and EGB, but was more akin to the movies. Starting in the legion timeline, so nothing rgb had ever happened and they had free reign.

And yes, you missed out. You can get the softcover edition with less features from Amazon UK, otherwise better pray someone bought more to sell off on Ebay.

Sounds like it went much the way of the MOTU comic book, albeit for very different reasons. Pity, the issues looked like they were really good.

The issues were great. I'm sure you can still find back issues at comic stores.

I wasn't even aware of a softcover version.

And some advertising.

I heard how Sony sent someone a ceise and desist for posting a joke pic of a book for kicks, yet they can't promote Ghostbusters fully. So typical, maybe if we egg their studios they'll list :p (Its a joke)

Advertising is a lot of $$$.
As to why they didn't promote the book more…got me. Why didn't they promote the DVD……..eh who knows? Furthermore, why didnt they rerelease it at the movies? Hell, they seem to be doing that with every other movie now.

I think the ball was dropped in too many places and they did the relaunch half ass. Besides if I recall correctly it was done at the end of the 80s craze. If you are gonna cash in on something and milk it for what its worth do it while the 80s craze is hot…not after.

Maybe they will catch on during the next 80s craze.
