Wow, there's something we didn't know! The Stay Puft teaser art was to have him on fire!

Heh, all I can say is I wish I could own at least one of these covers, though, I'll have to see how bidding goes, $6 shipping is pretty good but unfortunately people like to put the price up, not a problem towards the seller, they should get at least the cost of the materials back, but excessive bidding puts it out of the league of probably the definate fans and into the league of the less passionate about the franchise collectors.

I think excluding Ed Dukeshire, that's pretty much every member of the known production crew who's posted on the two forums at one time or another.

Congrats on the Batman Begins book as well, I saw it in Ottaker's a week or two ago and decided I'd try pick it up as the art quality was really good.

Thanks for the good word on Batman. It's nice to hear people bought it because the art was good.

But I don't get your other point… You think I'm trying to jack up the price to screw fans? It's fans that wanna buy it that actually make it go up, not me. I'm just a humble artist, and started the bidding fairly low at 25$.

And what does this refer too?… Sorry, confusing post to me.

I think what he was trying to say was original art pieces such as yours don't stay affordable to casual fans for too long ‘cause everybody wants it, and that with your posts now everybody associated with 88MPH has posted on the GB boards with the exception of one or two people. And I second that nod on Batman. Was one of the best adaptations in all it’s facets, including the visuals.

Thanks Chris.

Serge: I did not intent to mean you jack up the price. I meant was that you should at least deserve to get back the price for the materials. It was more a comment on the die hard ebayers and collectors (Who I have to wonder how much they love the franchise, are they buying it as it's part of Ghostbusters, or because it's simply another piece they can add to their collection), and how they increase the price outside of the regular ebay user.

I am a full supporter of artists getting their due, as I'm an artist myself.

As for the Ed Dukeshire comment, I was referring to how cool it was that pretty much everyone who was involved with the comic has posted publically on one of the two boards, and I have a lot of respect for that, as it could, in an unlikely circumstance, bring the trolls of the Internet in to bash you (Had there been any reason they could find, which there aren't any).

Original art goes for a lot of money.

And if you can get a good commission by an artist who worked on a book, thats a lot too.

It aint for everybody because it does get pricy but its an awesome feeling to have an original piece of art that no one has!!!

And I can almost guarantee that the art will look 100xs better in person because the scan cannot capture all the detail!

Okay, I get it now. I'll try and post a bit more often, as a GB artist and as a fan.

As far as art prices go, they ain't expensive yet. These are at least worth 150$, which they might not fetch. Then again, they could go higher then that, who knows. That's Ebay for you.

I agree with Divia, original art goes for a bunch. Especially the more famous the artist.

Look at Alex Ross. Original paintings from a comic are in the thousands (I believe no less than $10,000)

The more rare, the more expensive, but that doesn't mean the buyer's are always wealthy non-fans. I bid on both of Serge's pieces and got beat. They went for over $200. If I had more cash I'd have won, and I'm definitly a huge GB fan. Congrats Serge, and I'm glad my bidding got your more cash for that great art hehehe

Thankfully though I managed to snag his Snake-Eyes picture. For $200, which is a lot more than my budget allows, but something so cool looking that's a one-of-a-kind is sometimes to hard to pass up.

The only original art I own is a Wolverine done for me by an artist at a signing. ‘Cause it was free. I can’t afford things like this. Ah well.
