Here's the email I sent Filmation:
First of all, I would like to say that I am a huge fan! I grew up watching Filmation's original
“ghostbusters” before i watched the 1984 movie. I also just recently found out it was in fact an
actual live-action tv show. I am currently an amature film maker and would like to make a
ghostbusters movie based on your cartoon and live action tv series! I would like to know how to properly do
this (basically, NOT GET SUED, hehe). If I get the o-kay, I will be shooting the movie in
digital format with the latest special effects that I can afford. If you wish I wont film the
ghostbusters movie, and I will respect your decisons.

I waited 2 months for that, lol. I figure if the “Ghost Busters” movie is in limbo might as well see what I can do with “Ghostbusters”.
Oh, and I contacted Hallmark Entertainment. I will tell you what they say in 2 months, lol.

LOL oh yeah I would chose the gorilla over slimer any day….NOT!! I just buttered them up so i have somethin to work on for the summer, lol.

as long as you don't make a profit…. there is nothing filmation can do. you do NOT have to have their permission for a fan film
