Welcome to GBN, Dan. Thanks for the heads up on posting the article.

Thanks…but it's more like welcome back. I date back to the Emkow era and have just sort of skimmed the surface for a while.

Hey, looks like we are going to be having some of the Terminal Reality guys (or at least one) talking about GB on the podcast this week. Interview is tentatively slated for tomorrow. Anybody got questions they'd like to have asked? I'll see if I can squeeze some in among our existing list. It will only be like a 10 or 15 minute interview, and I know some stuff they can't talk about yet or don't want to…but it can't hurt.

Nice to see you around again Dan. Been hanging around low profile since then myself under different names so I'm anything but memorable so no need to ask me about that (hard to believe I was 10 when I started paying attention to the Ghostbusters sites), but I'll always remember you so welcome back.

If I had any question I'd like to see asked, it would really be their thoughts on the reaction the game has gotten thus far.

Is Venkman still with Dana, even though she doesn't appear in the game? Lamest question ever, I know! Forgive me, I'm curious.

Will Janine/Louis become a bonus character after finishing the game?

What will be the system requirement for pc?

Will there be “A making of” of the game, with commentary?

If it was a movie, would it be able to contain all the elements that Dan and Ramis have thought? What was more possible to do in the game?

Will the game have a bonus marchandise with it (like a gb logo keychain or a mini plastic ghost/rgb figures or a mini sample of slime?)

I've got a million but here are the burning questions for me:

(1) since we are playing an average joe off the street , Will we be able to customize our own character?. I for one would love to see that and I know others would agree.

(2) Where is the demo ? will there be one? if so, when can we expect it on Xboxlive marketplace and the playstation network?

(3) how extensive is multiplayer going to be? and will it support you being able to play the original 4 in that way?

(4) will the firehouse be completely explorable?

(5) how does Walter Peck work his way back into the story?

(6) on Xplay game update Morgan Webb said briefly that ghostbusters
would have DLC ( downloadable content) what will we be able to download?

(7) how will the upgrade system work and will you be able to have your upgrades roll over into a new game after completing the first?

(8) what part does the ecto - 1 play since we can't drive it

(9) Has everyone completed their dialogue yet?

Hmm, one immediately comes to mind, but mostly because it's a current subject I'm obsessing over:

“When you were recreating the Ghostbusters firehouse for the game, did you visit the disused Firehouse in LA that was used for the interior shots, or did you simply refer to shots of it from the DVDs of the movies?”

Non-Firehouse related:

“As fans have noted, the design of the Ecto-1 in the game currently reflects the replica car that was once part of the Spooktacular show that used to be in Universal Studios… was there a particular reason why the USF replica was used for the inspiration for how the car would be depicted in the game?”

Thanks for asking if we had any questions, Dan. I would've said ‘welcome back’ had I known then you're the Dan Elektro. It's good to have you back, man, and to see you in such a cool position with a well known games magazine.

I'm also wondering if the character that you play as is an actual character with a name and story, etc., or rather if it is a customizable character.

Also, if we'll be able to watch the cinemas indivdually after we've beaten the game. This would be nice.

Well, the best laid plans…I was not even able to take part in the interview. All those questions are good and I would have thrown as many in as I could…had I even taken part in it. We had trouble scheduling this one and there was some miscommunication. However, the interview did go ahead with not one, not two, but three of the bigwigs from Terminal Reality, so I will post a link when I have it.

I think that's a good question. I mean, we all care about the characters, right? I also love the question about the USF replica.

I do know a few answers to some of the other questions posed by QZED:

1) You will not be able to customize your character. You are playing the new guy, a specific new guy, and there is no character creator or way to make him look like you. I wonder if this will change because so many people have asked for it, but as of now, no.

2) Creating demos is a funny business. They are cool but they do take resources away from the core team – two or three people go off to make the demo when they should probably work on the main game. That's why you sometimes see demos after a game comes out – that's the first time anybody wants to commit resources to it. So they are probably deciding about the demo now. And if there is one, yep, you'll find it on Live and PSN. Hopefully PC as well.

5) Walter Peck now works for the city, and as a nice screw-you, the GBs submit their damage invoices to him. So you can blow up the Sedgewick all over again, and since you're helping the city…the city foots the bill. And Peck, in particular, has to deal with and pay for every mess you create.

6) They're not saying yet. A lot of times companies say “we'll have DLC” but they actually don't know or haven't decided whether it will be as extensive as new gameplay elements/levels, or whether it will just be a collection of gamerpics and themes. So…stay hopeful but don't get too excited.

7) As I understand it, as you go through the game and complete missions/levels, Egon basically says “hey, try this.” That's how your pack gets upgraded – linear, without your involvement. It's not a create-a-pack, it's a more traditional game progression thing, i.e. after level X, you unlock new equipment Y. I hope you'd be able to take a fully stocked pack into multiplayer or through the career mode a second time, but I haven't had the chance to ask.

8) I think the Ecto-1 is going to be “set dressing plus.” I think, like, you might take your gear out of it, or it might show up on the street during a mission. The official line is “you'll be able to interact with it” but I have no real knowledge of exactly what that interaction will be.

9) Not as of two months ago, but maybe by now. And apparently Dan was going to do another round to fill in all the parts. I get the impression that Stantz is basically going to be the main character you interact with.

That's strange though, since we've seen some game footage where the New Recuirt doesn't look the same as before. Although it would be cool if there was a customization feature (hopefully the might consider it).

On the subject of Dana, we know that Sigourney Weaver is not involved in the project, so we'll probably not see Dana. Weahter or not they are still involved, may or may not be answered in the game.
