1) You will not be able to customize your character. You are playing the new guy, a specific new guy, and there is no character creator or way to make him look like you. I wonder if this will change because so many people have asked for it, but as of now, no

That's strange though, since we've seen some game footage where the New Recuirt doesn't look the same as before. Although it would be cool if there was a customization feature (hopefully the might consider it).

When I played the build, I thought the recruit was light-skinned. When they gave us screens for the article, the GB looked dark-skinned. Maybe they are still playing with final models, or maybe they will give you a basic gender/race choice. At the very least I'm hoping for that, because we all want to project ourselves into this game…

Well, the best laid plans…I was not even able to take part in the interview. All those questions are good and I would have thrown as many in as I could…had I even taken part in it. We had trouble scheduling this one and there was some miscommunication. However, the interview did go ahead with not one, not two, but three of the bigwigs from Terminal Reality, so I will post a link when I have it.

Here ya go, the podcast is up. If you subscribe via iTunes it should be available on that feed shortly.

I'm listening to the show now…man, I would have jumped on SO MANY follow-up questions. Most of the questions where ones I'd written a week in advance and I was going to try to revise the list, throw some new ones in there. And they said so many things I wanted to ask a second question about! Damn.

Good news – these questions may yet get asked. I may have the opportunity to ask some of these Qs this week, as Sierra is doing the rounds for a press tour. So thanks for posting 'em.

Great to hear, goodluck with being able to get to the press rounds and ask some of the questions that are on our minds.

The challange for me as a gamer will be coming out of the expectation for open-ended gameplay that I've come to expect.

Whether it's sandbox games in the GTA mode or RPGs that let you decide your own pace (KOTOR), I've really become accustomed to and enjoy open games.

I've found it increasingly difficult to get back into games that feel like they have “staged” areas or cut from one scene to another.
