only real problem i had was at the end boss fight. my rig slowed to a crawl. not sure if it was hardware, or software related, but that was the only noticeable slowdown i had.

I don't know why they say they don't support cards with 256 mb on their vid card because it works fine for me.

Same here. I built my rig early last year, and until the Ghostbusters game came around, it was going to waste: Q6600, 2GB DDR2 RAM, HD 3850 256MB. All I cared to play for the longest time was Star Wars Battlefront multiplayer. The GB game is the first brand new PC game I've ever bought, and I've been quite satisfied with its performance on my PC at default settings so far. I've been too busy to play it over the past couple days, but next time I play, I'm going to see what my max playable settings are.

The lack of multiplayer is unfortunate, but there's certainly a chance that future patches can make it possible. And even without it, this game is a real bargain at $30.

Grats on the play Vezner. I know you were upset about it possibly not running on your rig. Mine runs at a constant 60 FPS at max quality settings with no slow downs anywhere in the game on this rig for reference:

AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE @ 3.31 GHZ
4 GIG of Dual Channel DDR2 @ 900 MHZ
x2 SLI'd Geforce GTX 260 Core 192's @ 621/1136/1364 (Clock Linked)
Asrock nForce 780A X3SLIWifi Motherboard
Western Digital 7200 RPM SATA HDD w/ 16 MB Cache @ 160 GB Capacity

The game is incredible, and though I beat it in a playtime of 7 Hours 56 Minutes i've gotten days of replay just by going through and catching any artifacts or ghost scans that i've missed.

Thanks! Yeah, I don't get the FPS that you do (mine is usually between 20 and 30), but it's certainly playable for me. The only time it got into the teens was on Shandor Island when you are in the hedge maze. Other than that, I had good FPS throughout, even on the end boss. I beat the game at a little over 8 hours and I've been doing the same as you, going back and finding all of the artifacts that I missed.

I really hope they release a MP patch for the PC users. I'd be more than willing to pay for it as a DLC too. MP would give this game so much more replayability for the PC community.

Just as an FYI for anyone that has a vid card like me (8600 GT w/ 256 mb), I bought the game on Steam and it seems to work just fine on my comp with a few tweaks of my graphics settings (mostly lowering shadows).

I don't know why they say they don't support cards with 256 mb on their vid card because it works fine for me.

w00t!

Quick question: how do I lower shadows?

Getting it for PC just seems stupid to me. Cause you always have to keep getting a new 3D video card every year just to play a newer game. Video Cards are expensive. I remember when I really wanted to play Spider-Man the movie game for PC and I spent like $80 on a 32 Mb 3D video card. My Dad put it in for me but then I never got to play Spider-Man 2 cause I didn't feel like spending an additional $120 on a new video card. Of course now I have a PS2 so I can play all the games I want to without worrying about having to get a new card. See what I mean?
