Ok. So I am at the AT&T store this weekend asking about some services to add to me and my girlfriends service. Well this sales lady mentions the word Sprint. She is white like I am. Anyway I say “I thought White People don't get Sprint anymore”. She gets all offended and says how offended she was by that comment because she has adopted black children. I never said the word Black at all, plus i have a couple of friends that are black. Seriously can't people take a joke no more? After that my phone was mysteriously stolen from the kiosk. I had left the kiosk and 2 minutes after doing so, i had realized i had left my phone there. Well when i went back, the phone was gone. Unbelievable.

You didn't really have to say it:

Did it occur that maybe the way you phrased it made it sound like it wasn't a joke?

That was a kind of bad joke, though I see where you coming from. Really, you got to take race and race jokes lightly. I have friend of different race/color, but some just don't like it. So bad on your part, BUT she could have taken it better as serving the customer comes above personal preferences.

There are some things you should never do at work. Anything about Race identification is one of them. Seriously, what were you thinking?!

The rule I live by is in public you do not talk about A) race, B) religion, and C) politics. All three subjects can turn from a casual conversation into a shouting match too fast.

Pretty much, its like Linus says, there are something he knows what to discuss, he didn't mention race, but he mentioned politics, and of course, the great pumpkin.

Well, he wasn't at work. Even then though, I wouldn't make racial jokes because people these days get offended by practically everything.

Because people are afraid of truth.

the only people that get offended by Racial jokes are people who have no recollection of history, and use it as an excuse to better their own faults. every race that came to the country were treated like crap.

People usually don't accept any opinion but their own, even though this IS a multi-cultural country, and SHOULD live in unity, and we should be able to have our own beliefs without being spat upon by others. it makes me sick. not catholic? STONE HIM! your jewish? GET HIM OUT OF HERE! your black? ARREST HIM! your a republican? YOUR A SELFISH BASTARD! your a democrat? YOUR A MORON!

theres really no winning, so whats the point?

Yeah but still this woman was white. I still can't get that she was so offended. I figured I would have offended the white people race more than anything if you wanna get technical. I am so afraid to say anything to anyone now because they might get offended. I really think that woman did do something with my phone because of it.
