You know, I think that if Peter was killed or died early, he'd wake up and relive the same day all over again, until he wouldn't die. I wouldn't even be surprised if it happened on. . . GROUNDHOG DAY!

i think the onyl way to kill him and do it justice with out pissing everyone off is if they do something like go on a bust and his pack malfunctions causing his pack to explode. his death sends ray, egon, and winston into a grieving state where they vow to give up ghostbusting becuase of their fallen comrade but then when ghosts take over the city and the boys are no where to be found and they are feeling bad about peter and not helping the city yet again his ghost appears and helps them out

i forgot where i read this, but i remember it being a good sorce. Peter dies in a lab experiment/explosion at the begining (flashback) of GB3. Later on in the film god comes down to earth in Peter's form (so the guys can recongnize him) and ask them to stop hell from raising up and to defet the devil himself

I know how he dies. There ontop of a building and there fightingthe Boogieman and Peter was stading near the leadge of the building and some how he gets knocked of the side of the building. Im sorry i dont know how he got knocked of the side of the building. But thats how he dies.

Actually the script review i read for it over at ign said that the only part bill murray had was that god came to the gbs at the end of the movie in a form that they would all know, bill murray carrying golf clubs. Yeah, he's a ghost alright…Bill Almighty, lol.
