The game would ship on June 16th and be in stores the next day so if the date sticks the game will be released on your 26th birthday.

Um…that release date isn't officially confirmed. They probably just updated the site to that date because of the news, but Atari hasn't announced or confirmed a release date yet so it could be later than that for all we know.

That dates as good as any, and I hope it is official, we don't need the date to be any longer then that.

I don't know about you guys, but this made me laugh.

“We're thrilled to partner with Atari on Ghostbusters: The Video Game”, said Mark Caplan, Vice President of Licensing-Hardlines for Sony Pictures Consumer Products Inc. “As one of our studios’ most valued film franchises, we wanted to develop a video game that would be exciting for both new and old fans and with Atari we have a publisher that fully understands Ghostbusters, and is committed to producing engaging entertainment that fans will thoroughly enjoy.”

That is like Sony kicking Activision in the…..erm….wallet I guess.

I still think we could see the game like March/April time. You know, some kind of spring release. Personally @ the minute i think that seems more likely. Especially as it was written somewhere (can't remember where) that they hoped to get it out “in time for the 25th anniversary”. But then again knowing our luck it'll probably be 4th quarter 2009 lol.

Lol, I don't like Sony really that much, but yeah, that line makes me lol cause it definitly seems like they're taking a shot at Activision.

Good luck to Activision when it comes to the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro franchises HAHAHAHA!!!!

If it wasn't copyright infringement I would have Crash and Spyro in Ghostbusters as unlockable dlc enemies to hunt lol.

What makes you think its more likely that it will be spring? I'm not trying to attack you, but that just doesn't make sense to me. Everything has pointed towards a summer release to coincide with the 25th anniversary.

How's that? It's all speculation on their part, since Atari has yet to give a specific date other than early summer and hope it coincides with the 25th anniversary. It could mean later for all we know, so I wouldn't trust the dates on those sites until they officially confirm the date.
