Picked Up By Atari?

Yeah, but you never know what might happen. He could have spoken a little too soon, though I highly doubt that he did.

It's kinda like the Rays/Red Sox series right now - Sure it looks like the Rays will win, but I'm not gonna celebrate until it's over with because you never know.

Well, hopefully its true, the game sat in limbo for to damn long IMO. Its about time someone picked it up and finished what was started.

Heh, honestly, I don't think you could get anymore official then the creator himself, Mr. Aykroyd. I'm glad it got picked up though, this didn't deserve to sit in limbo.

Yeah, he's always filled with accurate information. How far along is the CGI Ghostbusters movie?

In all seriousness this is still rumor until Atari says otherwise. Could be good news though.

I just hope that this is a bit more official then that CGI thing, otherwise I won't be to happy, again, but at least this is a bit more uplifting this hearing, oh, I dunno, nothing at all. Hope Atari or Sony says something about it soon.

Well, at least it's a glimmer of hope. The game sitting in limbo for so long has made me edgy.

Who knows? Maybe they'll squeeze in another scenario or two, add some more lines from the cast, or add some awesome multi-player modes. I have no dislike for Atari. Their PS2 Transformers game was cool, and I still love my Atari Flashback.

Activision dropping Ghostbusters has caused me to boycott ever buying games from that company again. The continual string of progressively arrogant and crazy decisions that have spewed forth from them throughout the remainder of the year has done nothing to make me change my mind.

Activision is nothing but a name now. the name of a company that used to put out good games, and not be a cranked out franchise factory.

I seriously hope that Activision comes out with some amazing game, and that you all realize just how stupid your boycotts are (considering a lot of you will probably go back on them to buy said awesome game).

I slightly agree. I would still love to hear it from an official word. Also, for all our sakes, I am hoping that Akyroyd knows nothing about the video game publishing process and his statement of “about a year” is off and the game actually comes sooner (assuming this rumor is true).

I read it, good news but 1 year? Hate that, BUT I know why: Halloween. I knew if they released it in the month of October, the game would be huge. Everybody is thinking about ghosts, spooks, etc (I think about them everyday, but you know….) and thus GB will be a hit. Plus being the anniversary, will be good. I hate it will be 1 year, BUT putting it in October/Halloween, is GREAT.

Odd. I hope Dan hasn't violated a gag-order or a no-compete clause and thus ruined the whole thing.

I've done said I'm not buying another Activision product, and I'm sticking to it, no matter how stupid you think it is, that's just your opinion. Like GuyCC said, Activision is just a name now, nothing more to me.

Personally, I think he should be able to say what he wants, he's Dan Aykroyd, he created the entire thing, but maybe that's just me.
