PKE meter body question...(i know its made outta of a shoe polisher)

My question is, since those arent readily available, what would be the next logical thing to put it in? for the body i mean? Now that i think about it, it would be easy to just cut it out of a block of wood, but it might be kinda hard to make the antenna on it. What really would be a good design to use for a GB costume? One from the movie or make a copy of the one from RGB? Im not talking bout using the toy one, but making a new one that looks like the RGB one. What i originally used (and i cant remember why) was one of those special coffee can containers that look like a rectangle and put it on wooden handlestick. (was that dumb or what?) do yall think i could make that one look like one from RGB faster than to cut a new one that looks like one from the movies before Halloween?

now i know why nobody responds, even i couldnt understand what the hell i was talking about when i went back and read that.

so let me rephrase it…

What would be the best thing to use for a PKE meter body? Cut out a wood block and handle in the shape of the movie's meter? Use the coffee can on a stick that i have and make it to be a RGB item, or cut out another block of wood in the shape of an RGB PKE?

Actually the polishers are fairly common on eBay and usually sell in the $30-$50 range. Do a title and description search for: “iona polisher” (no quotes).

I usually see at least a couple a month. A while back 2 of them sold for less than $10 within a week of each other because the sellers set low “Buy it Now” prices but it's pretty rare to see that kind of thing with an in-demand item. I just wish I had seen them sooner… smile

And to think I spent a year and a half looking on e-bay before I bought my first one at $5. At that time there were none to be found and no one knew what they were.

Some people still can get them at that price, with the “Buy it Now” feature as AJ was saying.

Volguus is working on a casted iona shoe polisher that already has the mods molded in. Check out A.S.A.P. for more info.

And to check out some of the currect GB Prop auctions, check out my page.

Dont make it out of wood, itll be heavy and not accurate.

you guys are going to think im fucking stupid, but, try a heavy duty foam, it's easy to work and very light, with some protective marerial on it and some good paint job it may accually look neat.

I was wondering. Since i have the body made out of a rectangluar coffee can and put that on a stick, i was wondering, would it be better to make the antenna on it like the ones from the RGB cartoons or make it like one from the movie? is got the same basic shape that could pass for either, just which one do yall think would look overall better?

Didn't someone somewhere say they were making a resin model that they were planning to sell? I would really like a PKE meter, but I don't think I have the patience to convert the polisher. A resin kit, however, that I'd do.

Someone with the know-how could create a very nice kit with LEDs and motor…I'd pay for quality!
