I don't like the idea much. GB3 does the trick, I think. Why have a subtitle, unless the movie is part of a chin of movies telling one story. Example: The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and the Matrix.

I don't like the idea of looking on films such as Ghostbusters as stories, especially when there is such a huge background/fiction/following of the series… I prefer to look on them as chronicles of their lives, making sequels mere contiunations of their lives… not a sequel!

If anything it shouldnt be like The Rage: Carrie 2, where the sequel part comes after the subtitle. Jurassic Park 3 worked. I think the problem is that studios mainly want the movie to seem completely different or give it more of an original feel somehow or something like that so it doesnst get to similiar. I think however that most studios need to realize that past a 4th sequel, the 4th usually being terrible anyways, that the franchise should just be left alone and not completely ravaged till it is hollow and stale.
