I wish I had your confidence, but we've had something like a decade's worth of Ghostbusters 3 rumors. :p

Well I'm gonna trust Ivan, Ernie and Sigourney, all who've said it's going to happen. I'm sure we'll hear what is to go into production in January of 2010. Till then we'll just have to sit on our hats.

Agreed, also was it not Sony that asked the writers of the Office USA to write a new script for Ghostbusters 3, why whould they ask for a script and then not want to make a film. Also most if not all cast members have expressed an interest in appearing in a 3rd film, so it should all be a go if the script is good enough. So we are currently just waiting for Dan & Harrold to finish adding there touch to the script and a nod from Bill & an official nod from Sony, probably in the new year at some point.

Wonder what we'll hear form the studios first, news on GB3 or Batman 3…I've heard we'll be hearing about both in January…just have ot wait it out..which sucks big time.

Studios commission scripts all the time. It doesn't mean they're necessarily going to greenlight every script they commission.

That said, I do feel like we're going to finally see Ghostbusters III, but I wouldn't say that because of the fact that the studio asked for a script to be written. It just finally seems that all of the pieces are falling into place this time.

That said, it could all fall apart at any given moment.

Well once again it depends on the actors. As it always has. And considering the latest news feeds both from protoncharging.com and all over the world, once again, originally people speaking for Murray say he loved the script, then when he's asked on camera he gives a lackluster response. Don't count on it going down until we hear it's greenlit.
