Nice hat. What season is it on your hemisphere? Up here it's summertime, but you seem cold.

Mid-Summer, more or less - it was hot as hell in Brighton but I need the coverage for the old bonce! alas my hair is not what it was in my youth…

It's called a baseball cap, son! Buy one!

To quote the Libertines:

There a fewer more distressing sights than that
Of an Englishman in a baseball cap

While our American cousins may sport them with guile, it's more a sign of the luddite over here. I should just get a straw boater and be done with it!

Anything's better than ear flaps with little girly tassles, chief.

So my style guru is a Basset Hound - sue me!

I wouldn't be one for the contact lens thingies you've got going there, but I wouldn't suggest that you should avoid them - different strokes for different folks, my man.

Y'see the minefield that emerges? I apologise, i hope you can understand why I could have made that mistake based on your photograph there, and that I meant no offence.

Ok, replace ‘contact thingies’ with ‘tache and beard combo’ and my point still stands. I wouldn't do it, it wouldn't work on me, you seem to be rocking it very well. I'll stand by my floppy hat just as I'm sure you would stand by any of your chosen acoutements.

Anyhow, our common bond in this place is Ghostbusters, not our respective dress senses. I'm sure my music taste (for example) would be like chalk to your cheese, but we can both agree that that one film rules.

which is, um, the most drawn out defence of my daft old hat i've made yet! hooray!
