This morning I could not post or send PM's to anyone on the board. I kept getting the message that says “You cannot post so soon after your last. Try again later”.
I wouldn't be shocked, but my last post was 12 hours earlier.

My guess is that it might be something acting up with the anti-spam software Chad has been installing. It's supposed to prevent posts of less than a certain number of characters–it sounds like there might be a interval at work also.
It'll be great if it works. If it doesn't…well, the anti-spam software at the old Ghostbusters Community Board glitched and kicked me out once. It was especially embarrassing as I was an Administrator there at the time :-O :p :-)

Correct, it dissalows you from posting so many times in so little time. There is also a min. character limit for all posts.

That's all well and good, but is the time between posts is supposed to be 12 hours???
And I remember that incident quite well, Fritz…it was funny, in a way, to see you banned after I put you in complete charge of the board. At first I thought you accidentally banned yourself.

But what if you want to add your thoughts to a whole bunch of topics??? I mean, as long as they're relevant to the topic, and more than a LOL or a :-) , that shouldn't matter, right?
Cuz there's a lot of subjects that are getting discussed which are of interest to me.

Well, the hack's main intention was to stop people like Ray Stantz from spamming the boards with LOL or :-)
It's just something that will have to be worked with, I'm afraid.

Will we get to know the minimum word count?
Anyway, as potentially annoying as it can be, having a 30 sec. or 1 minute space between posts isn't a bad idea. ezBoard has that set up, and I almost never get caught by it even if I am posting replies to several topics. Probably because I'm on dial-up, but hey…it's just a minor inconvenience to keeping up with loots of topics. Just as long as it doesn't eat posts while it's at it. (May be a good idea to copy your post first, just in case, so you can paste it in anew if it does…)

Oh I agree that it's a good idea. Especially for this board. But sometimes, it just doesn't work right, and you end up with issues like the one Fritz noted, and my 12 hour down time between posts.
