Well the tube isn't connected to the pack, just the belt. It could be just getting fresh air in those pants while they run or sweat alot.

Not even the belt. The only thing the tube is actually connected to is the leg of the jumpsuit. The other end is completely loose.

damn man who yanked your chains? i guess youre the two people here that have no sense of humour its instead replaced with logical and illogical random ass uncalled for albert einstein E=MC2 bullshit!

Venkman09, you're out of order. You're blowing up like that because they didn't like your joke? Either you invest too much emotion in your jokes or you can't take a bit of criticism.

As for the joke itself, it really wasn't funny. A joke that unfunny shouldn't be worth the effort you're going to to attack those who critiqued it.

ill dig out my university diploma and throw some big biochemical words at you that will probably make your brain hurt

Threats of intimidation… as bizarre as that one is, won't be taken lightly here.

now. are we going to play nice or do i need to take your toys away?

I pose the same question to you, are you going to calm down?

If it's loose, how come the tube isn't dragging on the floor?

Sometimes it's tied around the back of the belt, sometimes it's tied onto the Proton Pack A.L.I.C.E. Frame.

It just gets tucked under and/or around the back of the belt like KP said.

There's a small handful of scenes where you can catch the end of the hose just sticking out from behind the GB's backs, including a scene in GB2 where Egon is tucking his back in while turned away from the camera.

To my recollection, the only times where it appears that the hoses may be attached to the belts is during scenes where the GB's are wearing stunt equipment. In which case they're probably just being held in place with tape since the hoses are prone to popping loose.
