I think since they have the time now they should have a character maker.

Ryan french from terminal reality said at comicon that there is an ecto driving sequence however your not actually in control of the car..(think protecting the truck in terminator redemption) and you have to protect ecto- 1 in kind of an on rails shooting sequence.

I really want to drive the Ecto-1 in the game instead of just appearing at a mission but that probably won't happen. Imagine being able to drive the car to every mission with the sirens blaring.

I think we should get some kind of pre-order bonus from Gamestop when the game is finally released, maybe a Slimer action figure or something :-).

Why? Its not Gamestop's fault that the game is delayed.

I never said it was and I never said it should be given away for free. I just thought since everyone has waited almost two decades for something new in the franchise that we should get some kind of collectible with our pre-order.

A lot of bad games have merchandise with pre-orders so why not a good game like Ghostbusters? And I don't believe Gamestop has anything to do with the free merchandise anyway since I am sure the game publishers produce it.

There are so many ideas of what the pre-order gift could be, maybe a Slimer action figure like I mentioned earlier or if the game does indeed come out during the 25th anniversary then maybe a special movie poster that has the Ghostbusters logo on it with a cool message at the bottom.

I think it would be cool too, don't get me wrong. Your wording was just odd in saying that it should be with a Gamestop preorder… it implied that it should only be through Gamestop.

Though, I'm sorry, I need to point out the irony in your post here. You start off saying that you “never said it should be free” then later say “Gamestop has nothing to do with the free merchandise” and you refer to it as a “pre-order gift”.

First off, if you never said it should be free… what did you mean? You'd like to have to pay extra for a pre-order special item?

Second of all, its funny that you then refer to it as “free merchandise”.

And finally, I don't know many people who pay for “gifts”.

Sorry, but the contradictions and irony that are just dripping throughout your post are really funny.

Sorry I wasn't completely awake when I typed that post. What I meant is that the merchandise is technically not free since you will be paying $40-$60 for the game anyway.

Say for instance that only one store being Gamestop gave away a bonus then I think whether you pre-ordered the game or not that you should still get the bonus if there actually is one when you pick up the game.

Gamestop would also want to make sure they have enough to meet the demand because if the fan base caught wind of a bonus there would be a stampede.

Yea, I'm gonna be frustrated if different stores have different promo items… I'll probably buy the Best Buy exclusive version if that's still coming out (I would think it is), cuz that will save some money on the Blu-ray, but then on top of that I would probably just check out eBay for the other promos. I can't be spending that much money on different copies of the game.

Even if EA is publishing, it's going to be the same game that's been in development by Terminal Reality all along. The quality won't decrease because they're publishing if it is in fact EA.

*Cough*TheSims2*Cough* Freaking thing is riddled with bugs, and EA just published it.

Ugh, and a delay until 2009, while I'm glad that the game is out, that long ass delay majorly disappointments me, so many things can happen between now and June of 2009.

Well we got a publisher, good. But with the delay we have good and bad.

BAD
1) The launch in October, was a HUGE key in the success of the game. I am a paranormal investigator and I a big into ghost, psychics, metaphysical etc all year round. October and Halloween is just the icing on the cake. BUT, many people don't think about anything “spooky” or about anything that has to do with ghosts, including the Ghostubusters, outside of Halloween. GB being released in October would have strengthen sales alot. Losing this is bad, maybe won't hurt it much.

2) Delays can be bad since companies can keep pushing things back and back and back. *cough* Duke Nukem Forever*cough* Right now we have no time line for release and this is bad. Not a deal breaker, but still not good.

3) No word on a demo. It was shown on Xbox Live marketplace and was gone. We need either a “yes” or “no” on a demo and a time frame. A nice Holiday (Thanksgiving and/or around December) release of a demo would be killer and get people thinking and planning for the game. With the lose of the first publisher, I hope the demo isn't gone and won't come back.

GOOD
1) We have a publisher!

2) More time to work on the game. I hope they use ALL of the time and make the game 150% better/improved and fine tweaked.

3) Give everybody time to truly LOCK this in and get some goodies. I was disappointed with no preorder swag. I would play $100+ for a preorder tin, statue, etc like Halo 3 was for the game.

I am glad a publisher has been found, really I have. I think missing October release will be a hit. Might just be me and this is just my opinion, but Halloween and Ghostbusters were a win win situation. *sigh* I DO hope they don't pull summer next year BS. I think around January or so is long enough.

i just dont see them launching ghostbusters next june. Just an overall bad move. You dont have to launch the 25th anaversary type product the month it came out, just within the course of the year of the 25th

June would hands down kill this game. its hot out, its going agenst way to much other media and games.

If it were me, i would have march your fail safe last bet deadline. To delay a game 10 months when there is not a technical glitch with it…is kinda pointless. I do understand it takes time to promo material and RE build up hype for the game, but i doubt it takes 10 MORE months to do so.

I can live with janurary. In fact im kind of hoping its jan. Makes the winter alot more barable. gives me somthing to look foward to in the otherwise bleek months.

Remember, a video game is not like movies were all the big ones hit eather in the summer or the holidays. Sure holidays are prime time market wise to get a game on market and make a profit, but gta 4 sold in april, and made MILLIONS its first night.

March-April would be a guess target date. Hopefully Jan if were lucky. A miracle if they get it out by xmas but that just aint looking like a possability right now.

Yes it pisses me off, but..maby its for the best. Who knows. All i do know is We BETTER get a demo soon. its the least they could do
