I really want to drive the Ecto-1 in the game instead of just appearing at a mission but that probably won't happen. Imagine being able to drive the car to every mission with the sirens blaring.

I think we should get some kind of pre-order bonus from Gamestop when the game is finally released, maybe a Slimer action figure or something :-).

Why? Its not Gamestop's fault that the game is delayed.

I never said it was and I never said it should be given away for free. I just thought since everyone has waited almost two decades for something new in the franchise that we should get some kind of collectible with our pre-order.
A lot of bad games have merchandise with pre-orders so why not a good game like Ghostbusters? And I don't believe Gamestop has anything to do with the free merchandise anyway since I am sure the game publishers produce it.
There are so many ideas of what the pre-order gift could be, maybe a Slimer action figure like I mentioned earlier or if the game does indeed come out during the 25th anniversary then maybe a special movie poster that has the Ghostbusters logo on it with a cool message at the bottom.

I think it would be cool too, don't get me wrong. Your wording was just odd in saying that it should be with a Gamestop preorder… it implied that it should only be through Gamestop.
Though, I'm sorry, I need to point out the irony in your post here. You start off saying that you “never said it should be free” then later say “Gamestop has nothing to do with the free merchandise” and you refer to it as a “pre-order gift”.
First off, if you never said it should be free… what did you mean? You'd like to have to pay extra for a pre-order special item?
Second of all, its funny that you then refer to it as “free merchandise”.
And finally, I don't know many people who pay for “gifts”.
Sorry, but the contradictions and irony that are just dripping throughout your post are really funny.

Sorry I wasn't completely awake when I typed that post. What I meant is that the merchandise is technically not free since you will be paying $40-$60 for the game anyway.
Say for instance that only one store being Gamestop gave away a bonus then I think whether you pre-ordered the game or not that you should still get the bonus if there actually is one when you pick up the game.
Gamestop would also want to make sure they have enough to meet the demand because if the fan base caught wind of a bonus there would be a stampede.

Even if EA is publishing, it's going to be the same game that's been in development by Terminal Reality all along. The quality won't decrease because they're publishing if it is in fact EA.
