I don't understand why this is even a question.

If something glitches that badly, its clearly not working properly, and you should be returning it for a refund.

I could understand if you were simply asking if others have experienced the same thing, but without even returning it for the new copy you're entitled to to see if there's a problem with the game itself, or just that disc…

Ah, but this is the thing - there were no visible problems with the disc, and the issues I'm having do seem to be universal. I didn't want to get in a loop of return, still wonky, return, still wonky - thought I should make sure it was the game itself first.

So yeah, i reckon the verdict reached here is that the PS2 version is pretty shoddy. How sad, it's a lovely little game without all the infuriating glitches.
