According to this a patch is in the works to fix the trophy issues, freezing and connecting to players outside the USA. Sweet! :-)

I hope the patch is for the 360 version as well. I'm dying to get the rest of the most wanted ghosts and an achievement I've probably earned ten times over. I can't see them only patching the PS3 version though… that would be… different.
