said the version they reviewed was a pre release build that DID have sized down textures, but most all of them were sized back up for release.
plus, he was comparing the 360 version against a 720p resolution version.

Then why is it that people who already have the PS3 version are confirming what was already mentioned in the article I posted?
I triple checked this – the package file sizes are IDENTICAL on the 360 and PS3. That means the game art is all the same size, except for the UI art.
The problem is how the guy is capturing it. When you capture lower resolution on the PS3, it actually renders it at lower resolution. So he was comparing a 1280x720 render on the 360 with a 720x480 render on the PS3…not surprising he has those results.
