Question about the Kenner Firehouse

Hey all,

As some of you many know I am doing an Kenner Ghostbuster auction on ebay consisting of the Firehouse, 7 Vehicle, 6 action figures, 20 ghosts and 2 action figure carryin cases. The auction ends sat 2/13 and can be found at:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-GHOSTBUSTERS-Kenner-29-item-lot-with-Firehouse_W0QQitemZ200436747093QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20100208?IMSfp=TL100208192015r31432

Anyways my question was is there anyway to take apart the Firehouse without damaging it. The shipping on the auction is pretty high due to the size of the Firehouse. So I was hoping if anyone had some experience with this or could direct me somewhere to find answers.

Thanks,
Nick

vaguely recalling something in relation to the instructions saying that once built, it could not be taken apart, I dug up this video of someone unboxing their unusued, unbuilt Kenner Firehouse:

From my understanding, those stickers on the base section refer to the inability to dismantle the Firehouse once assembled.

So that's what that bit of writing was. Hmm. I've been wondering about that for ages.

Ah what a bummer. Thanks for replying, if only when I was much younger I hadn't put together the firehouse I could have avoided this shipping problem, though where is the fun in that.

I still have my Ghostbusters firehouse but (it's at my parents house)…
The right door is lost (and has been for years), the sign is lost, the pegs that you fit the ghostbusters feet in are both broken off (one of them went right into the foot of my Peter Venkmen action figure), and I'm not even sure where the containment unit is. It's probably somewhere in my room. Oh, and the slime wore out. I no longer have slime. Also the pole lost it's pegs too. I guess that's what happens when you play with somthing all the time. But I don't feel like spending over $100 on a new one. Later on I used to use it as the daily Bugle when playing with Spider-man action figures. I intend to keep it. It's an old Childhood memory. My parents spent a lot of money to buy it for me back in the day and helped me put it together. But I wouldn't sell it (though I really can't sell it in the condition it's in right now)
