That's niiiiiiice! Heck, I'm not hardcore like you guys, so I wouldn't be able to tell the difference, and I'm sure a LOT of others wouldn't either. I know I'd be happy just seeing something like a voltzwagon drive by me with the logo and some sirens, etc. Wouldn't have to be perfect to brighten my day.

My loan application got rejected by the bank today. Major bummer. But I called another credit union this afternoon and applied with them to get the money. Hopefully they'll be more helpful. They seemed more receptive on the phone, and they advised me to call back tomorrow afternoon to see if it's been approved.

If it hasn't been approved by tomorrow afternoon, I'll have to wait until Tuesday because it's Australia Day Weekend this weekend (similar to your Independance Day) and all the businesses are closed on Monday.

If all goes well I'll be able to lay a deposit on this car.

Shes Beautiful! *brings a slight tear to my eye* and by the looks of the photo shes in near-cherry shape too! but i have a very important question for you: since it was a miller-meteor model was its main purpose medical aid or funural services? cause if it was mainly used as an ambulance you should still have about 500 nifty lil' compartments throughout the interior of the vehical! look also for a CB antenna mount around the rear area of the roof/right side of the hood/either left or right side or rear lower body, along with a possible red revolving light mount on the front of the roof as well, or wiring for it at least. basically look for screw holes on the dash and drivers area indicating weather it had a scanner/CB or not at one time or another. also check for some empty/covered up switch mounts and mounts for cowl lights (the litte ones on the roof) or the growler siren normally located near where the red revolving light mount shouldve been located. also check the rear crome bumper for several dents with the indication that people were stepping on it (usally in a hurry with the intent of saving lifes). that and possibly consult who you bought it from to get the whole deal on what it was used for throughout its time. but look inside * out of her, get to know her, respect her and she'll respect you back by giving you the ride of your life!
im gone.

PS.its not only bad luck Not to name a boat but also Not to name a car.smile

back,

From what the owner tells me, it was a Miller Meteor Combo, but I suspect its primary application was that of an ambulance. He said it did have the original medical supplies cabinet still fitted, but I won't know what other mods there are until I see it for myself (if I get that far).

As for a name, it's funny you should mention boats. I thought about calling it the “Love Boat”, because, as Aussies would say, it's the ultimate Shaggin' Wagon, hehe smile

I also checked with my local RTA (DMV), and guess what number plate is still available: Ecto 1 !!!

Did you hear from the second loan place yet? If you gotta wait til Tuesday, I expect you'll be pretty fidgety over the weekend.

Sorry to get your hopes up guys, but my loan application was rejected again by the credit union. Looks like this particular Ambulance will have to find another home

But I'm not worrying too much. Although this was a fabulous looking car, I think now I'll just keep saving my money and wait for the next one to come along. Maybe next time it'll be a real 1959 MM instead.

So, is anyone else interested in buying a 1960 Cadillac? I'll disclose all the information to you if you're seriously interested in buying it and shipping it back to the States.

Cheers,
