i found some sites about it. has anyone on here ever toured it or been inside of it. that would be sweet to walk around in there, maybe even slide down a pole. smile i read in the “making ghostbusters” book that all the firehouse interior scenes were filmed there. i guess this even means the “storage facility” scenes. so i guess it could be possible the storage facility is still down there……hmmm…..

Sorry to burst your bubble, but AFAIK the L.A. firehouse has no basement. That was probably a studio set.

Station 23 does indeed have a basement, however it was “partitioned” with a fake wall so as the effects guys could shoot those cinder blocks out when the Containment unit exploded.

I have been to see the Station in 1998, but I didn't get the opportunity to see inside it. It is locked up. The Asset Management Division of the LA Council informed me that a caretaker lives there, and if you'd like to visit the station to contact them and they'll organise someone to show you around.

Chad lives pretty close to the Station from what he tells me, so perhaps he'll get the scoop of the century by being the first Ghosthead to see inside it. How 'bout it, Chad ? smile
