That IS good news that it will be developed and released, I just hope that this doesn't mean a delay. If activision doesn't publish it someone else will but that will almost guarantee it will be pushed back a while. It needs to come out as scheduled in October, I can barely wait that long last thing I need is more waiting, I'm running out of patience!

Activision will be closing Sierra (which I take with a major grain of salt now since it's from Games Industry Biz):

Despite the game being published, Activision will not be publishing Ghostbusters:

Despite this game coming out, this is getting more and more confusing and complicated. I just want the game to come out so I can have peace of mind over the whole thing. Oy. Frustrating.

Yes, yes, yes! I'm glad to hear that its not canceled, I think that would've been very bad for Activision if it was.

I do feel for those who wanted the other games though, yes, even the 50 Cent game.

More confirmation that GB is still alive and well:

This is turning out to be a free mini-PR boost for our favorite game. Of all the titles in limbo GB is of most concern and excitement.

Interesting side note:

I went to Gamestop today (Soulcalibur IV for 360), and asked the manager if he knew anything about it.

He said the game is still in their system set for a October 21 release. He also added that when a game gets a definite street date (month and day specific), the developer/publisher HAS to release the game, as it's considered deceiving the public.

I know other games have had set street dates before in the past only to get delays, but if there's any truth to the whole “getting down to the wire/must release it” theory, then cool.

At this point, it's got to be almost done anyway. I worked in the game industry before, and if it has an October Street date, the game only has about a month/month and a half time frame left to develop. It's practically gold and out the door. It would be stupid to cancel this late.

And like I said before, Activison once published a slew of Ghostbusters games before. Let's hope they come to their senses.

I guess maybe this was one of those, ‘you had to be there’ moments which I missed… but I don't understand how anyone thought the game's future was ever in doubt because of the latest development from Activision purchasing Sierra.

It was never really canceled m8.

Basically Activision won't be publishing it thats all.

http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/page4.html#687604 try this there are other places too.

Tbh i dnt even think it'll get delayed. Its probably all about Activision avoiding some sort of tax or somet lol.
