Well… Guess my post in the “cancelation” thread is moot.

I just can't see it not coming out, unless something really dramatic happens.

Simply put, the game is too close to completion and there is too much hype around it at this point.

If nothing else, for a publisher it's a low risk investment because it'll generate money even if it sucks.

Hey Edge, did you bring the Edgeheads with you? J/k.

Kingpin
I guess maybe this was one of those, ‘you had to be there’ moments which I missed… but I don't understand how anyone thought the game's future was ever in doubt because of the latest development from Activision purchasing Sierra.

You can never tell with game companies, they can always throw you for a huge loop, a huge loop that would piss us all off.

I hate this situation… it confuses me… I´ve been waiting the entire year (since november) for this game… every footage you guys found on the web and post here, shed a tear of happiness…

Now I´m confused and I hate being like this… I hope this bullcrap ends soon and give us the so-long-awaited videogame.

Ok, this may sound a bit stupid but…….

Couldn't Activision actually be keeping Sierra on in some form of seperate publishing? I mean i personally haven't read anything about Sierra actually being closed/discarded. I could be wrong and please correct me if i am. Just a thought. N apologies if it's already been written somewhere that it has.

Wow, this is all SO STUPID. I mean we get a new comic con trailer, then we get this crap. I mean come on. I know this wont' be canceled, but don't release stuff like this to die hard fans and have our hearts jump up in our throats with disgust and say “oh well, not canceled”.

*I like this guys style :

Ignoring all other titles dropped during this situation… The Ghostbusters decision will get someone fired after it is picked up and hit shelves. I can understand their desires to stay safe and run with the games that will play to the kiddies, but Ghostbusters is one of the games aimed at slightly higher age groups that is almost certain to make a desired profit level.

All this means to gamers is a postponed release date on Ghostbusters. It'll mean millions to Activision…

* :p *

*Cheers.

I know it sounds a little evil, but I do hope someone got fired over that decision, or does get fired in the future once Ghostbusters actually does get released, if it doesn't pull a Duke Nukem Forever route that is.
