Hm, I don't know if it's just me, but it looks like the Proton Pack toy looks different than the final toy we got.

The PKE is different as well, it has a second screen, and no handle.

The difference compared to the final product will be the same as with the Firehouse, these are the prototypes.

Being as though my computers are down (indefinately?), and the PS3 browser is as backwards as it gets, this new entry is a url you'll have to click to get to -

I love seeing prototypes. They naturallay are always better than the production models, I'm sure simply because of cost. The original Star Wars line ones are very facinating.

I remember I actually put beds on the top floor of my firehouse. Sure it made it more of a dollhouse but it really needed more in it. It's just so sad when compared to the Filmation GB HQ playset. Heck even the Police Academy playsets beat the heck out of the RGB firehouse.

Yep. I'll certainly drink to that. It's part of the reason why I'm so glad Kingpin and his friends are working on their Firehouse sketches, so that, with a bit of money, I could potentially build a far better replica with “breakaway” rooms–you unlatch the room you want to shoot in, pull it out, do your scene, and put it back in. The Kenner Firehouse was a pain to work with, because I had to do some very creative redressings *and* camerawork within my Photonovel.

With that said, though, I am on the other hand pleased with the “dollhouse” nature of the firehouse–it was that much easier to do my own set dressings!

Funny you should bring up the plans, some new photos of the interior are becomming available thanks to a member of Proptopia.

I'm currently uploading all my existing interior shots onto GBFans, if it's of interest.

Thank you, Ectofiend. I'm enjoying this topic alot. Three of the pics in my sig are here, (although two of them I found elsewhere before I ever went to this thread). Here is the one that wasn't here till now.

It's from this page - http://www.ernie-hudson.com/store2.html
Anyone, please post a scan of the fullsize photo here if you have it.
(I mean a link to it.)

I've been collecting all the great scans here. When I got to page 15 post #149 to collect this . . .

I saw this next to it on the imageshack page. -

I like this photo alot. What is it scanned from? I'd love to see it in color.
