*Well - I'm back…Not in official capacity, but I'm back…

*A move, a change of direction, the birth of a new nephew, and the loss of a Father AND the family dog takes ALOT out of you, as I'm sure you can imagine…Well and a road trip to Baltimore that didn't quite go as planned…

*But anyways - I'll leave you with a few new ones to tide you over until I can get the rest edited and uploaded:

*Ralston/Purina Ghostbusters Cereal Premiums : These were given away during the first run of the cereal…First one is the poster, second is a big sticker, third is more stickers, fourth is a lightswitch cover…

*There is one more piece to this set, however I'll add it in an edit/update once I finish editing it …

*More to come…

*Cheers.

HAHAHA About a year ago, I watched that poster (I think it´s a sticker too) on a taxicab in my town, I never had seen it before… and now I know where did this come from.

Very strange finding something like that here in Mexico.

Great to see you back Ectofiend! Didn't you buy the Ghostbusters Universal Show Manual months back and said you were gonna scan them? I remember you mentioned it in this thread.

Awesome stuff there as always.

Y'know, I've always dreamed of seeing the Ghostbusters Spooktacular. “Twister: The Ride” got me a little bit close to that as it occupied the GB attraction space, but I have to say I'm looking forward to the rest of the “behind the scenes” book–hopefully there'll be an explanation for how the Proton Stream effects were accomplished.

If at all possible, Ectofiend, I'd advise you to be on the lookout for issues of Highlights, Humpty Dumpty and Jack and Jill dating around…ooh, let's say 1991-1992. There were some advertisements for a sweepstakes where the grand prize was a trip to Universal Studios—and sure enough, one of the pictures on the page was that of the Ghostbusters Spooktacular. I wonder if I don't still have one of those magazines floating around… :-O

Actually, that advertisement was one of my first introductions to the world of the Ghostbusters, because the picture in question was right next to one of “Back to the Future: The Ride” with Doc Brown in a white jumpsuit. From that, I always thought the GB's were Doc Brown's friends or something!! (^_^)

Nice finds as always.

By the way, do you know anything about the origins of the “THIRST BUSTERS” shirt? (I don't.)

*Apparently it was to promote a local beer or something back in ‘84-’85…Not sure of the region it was from though (*ray) …

*Cheers.
