No way! I completely disagree, Ray is obsessed with the paranormal, just like Dan Aykroyd in real life :-P
Ray is a walking Ghostpedia!
Egon knows more about what ghosts are, the energy etc.. ways to catch them. He's the technology.
You don't see Egon spitting out info on ghosts in the movies, he has to look it up.
But Ray, he quoted the bible (even if it was incorrect in the movie) he knew about all kinds of paranormal events that took place!
