I was looking last night on the OriginalTrilogy website again for any news on there version and that seems dead as well.

I did notice that the exclusive bonus material from the Criterion Laserdisc has been uploaded on to YouTube about a year ago, I have put up links in Ghostbusters YouTube Thread.

By professional taping of Ghostbusters Spooktacular from Gift Shop video, I assume they meant this one?

It's a pretty condensed version of the show though, but I guess you can't really expect the full show from a souvenir tape.

Thanks for the video, Peter! It might be “a condensed version,” as you said, but at least its professional quality gives us a few REALLY GOOD angles of the ghosts. What's more, there are even a few I haven't seen anywhere else before, like that prisoner ghost* and the famous “Horned Beast,” which I always assumed was another name for a Terror Dog.

If anything, it should be quite useful in jogging GBSUFF1's memory of the Barrel-riding Hobo.

*No, I'm not adding another level to my Ghostbusters Spooktacular in Universal Studios Theme Parks Adventure project, thanks for asking, but I *could* throw in the Prisoner and the Horned Beast as two of the small ghosts…

EDIT: Here's the link to my project if you would like to see what I've done:

Yes my disc/set project is on a VERY long hiatus, hopefully not indefinately, though I was doing some editing earlier on this year for the GB1 Disc I was working on…And I'm almost glad that I put it off, as I'm finding new footage all the time…

However even with that hope, I'm not totally sure when or if I'll be able to finish or even make a sizable dent in it…Life as always has intruded to the extent of madness, not to mention the $400 monitor that I was using for the computer that I used to compile and edit has since died a horrible overheated death…So until I get a monitor for that computer, it's REALLY “on hold”…Add that to the fact that I've been unemployed since July, and have had NO LUCK finding new employers since…

BUT!! You might actually see some of the material I have in the new GB documentary that's coming out next year(*peter):-)…How do I know this you ask?…You'll just have to trust me on this one, weither you like me or not

And yeah - That other “Tobin's Spirit Guide” set is about as dead as the dodo…As is “The Criterion Series: Ghostbusters” Dvd that someone over at Ghostbusters: Italia was working on (*egon)…

If you are referring to me, you never sent me any videos, unless you went by the handle of "LiquidVishin“ at one time, and if that is true, then yes I have a ”test disc" that was done a few years back…

Ah ha… yeah, I sent about two discs worth of stuff to two people on OT.com – and never heard another peep. Although most of the videos that I gave to them ended on YouTube somehow, go fig…

If that was done to me I would be fuming, it's not exactly rocket science to put a DVD together, I was making DVD's and VCD's about 8 years ago or earlier. These days the software packages do all the work for you as well.

All the material that is out there to do with Ghostbusters needs to be archived away somewhere like Spook Central for the future while the good quality material is still available or we will be left with low quality material on places like YouTube, or lost forever.

I don't know about the OT guys, but I never posted anything you sent me on that disc onto YouTube…Granted I DID have a YouTube account a few years back with rare GB footage and other items that I already had in my possession, however the material on your disc you sent me wasn't a part of that…I still to this day have no idea how to rip individual parts off of DVD's, and every program I've ever used to try and do that is shite…

You need to use SmartRipper or DVDDecrypter to ripout the individual streams from the VOBs and then use VirtualDub to edit what you want then throw all your material in to DVD Factory or any other DVD creation package, simple.
