Hi everyone, I'm from Italy and I'm a super Ghostbusters fan. As it can be deduced from the title of this post I'm looking for the Ghostbusters prototype from Kenner, especially Egon's Lab. I obviously know these pieces are unique but, who knows, I'll try to get them anyway. I know that, in 2002, someone bought an Egon's Lab on ebay.com. Let me know, thanks a lot in advance!

Those are so incredibly extremely rare… There's probably less than 10 in existence, and those that have them probably aren't willing to part with them.
You might get lucky, just pointing out how much of a long shot it is though.

yeah i know man, i heard that the guy who bought it in 2002 managed to spend less than 100 bucks, at least this is what another guy on ebay told me like a year ago. do you have any idea of how much a potential seller would ask for something like this?

My guess is a lot more than $100.
If I had to guess, it would be in the $250 range, but that's just a guess.
I mean the figures, MOC ones at least, can go for over $100. This is way more rare than those, so it should be more expensive than that.

i totally agree, well, we'll see. i managed to find all the four guys, ecto 1, slimer, marshmallow and firehouse and lot more mint, so now i'll concentrate on this kind of stuff, even though i know it'll be very hard. another series i'd love to complete is the slimed heroes one, i miss egon and winston(*egon)(*winston)

I seem to remember seeing an Egon's Lab go for about $500. I think there's only about 2 or 3 that exist. The stickers on they had on them were drawn in by hand. But just because something got it for less than $100 in 2002, doesn't mean you'll get the same deal. My guess it's about $300 or more.

unfortunately i perfectly know that, in fact i recalled that auction back in 2002 because obviously the guy who managed to buy it was the luckiest ever to take it home for that price. i agree with your guess and, as said also by dr venkman, i don't think the price would be lower than 250 bucks

There are 3 rumored to exist and the auction a few years back was a BIN for $750 I believe and went unsold, This was the most recent auction and no one on these boatrds as far as I am aware knows any of the owners. I too am looking for egon's lab and would pay top dollar for it. I have actually posted a few times on here asking the same thing. I wasnt aware of any other prototypes in existence….does anyone know if any were made?
