I just got word the other day that after some time, Rainmaker Animation has plans of creating a Trilogy of Reboot movies as well as a Webcomic (which they allowed fans to submit designs and proposals for). They already started a site thats got a countdown going to the 30th of this month.

With the event that we do get a new series or movies or what have you…do you really think thats such a good idea with a member of the principle voice cast, the honored Tony Jay, being deceased. Its not like they can write out his character, Megabyte, from the series since he was the major villian throughout…

What do you guys think?

It'll be great to see the show get a new lease of life, especially as it was so groundbreaking in the day.

The passing of Tony Jay will undoubtedly affect things… but I wouldn't be surprised if they were able to find a good enough vocal actor to emulate him in the role of Megabyte.

Of course, whether it'll be a good continutation is still unknown, but I look forward to seeing it.

I guess a good emulation of Tony Jay would do, but at its core it would be the same…but I could live with it.

Well the webcomic (which is up now at reboot.com) picks up an unspecific amount of time after the original finally (4th season ep v4.2.4 ‘Crouching Binome Hidden Virus’ which was bulked together within the movie “My Two Bobs”)

Essentially the current Webcomic up opens in the aftermath of the Hunt - Mainframe is devastated and overrun with Zombinomes, the User is missing, and the entire population is being evacuated to the Super Computer. The weakened Guardian Collective is facing viral attacks and uprisings across the entire Net. Turbo blames Bob for this, saying his views on viruses has become widespread and left them weakened. Enzo Matrix, meanwhile, is a star pupil in the Guardian Academy. The viral threat is ended when the Codemasters - first introduced in the episode High Code - pledge their help, offering a firmware named Gnosis. Gnosis is uploaded to every System on the Net, erasing all viruses and ending the crisis. The first issue ends with the Codemasters' Guildmaster activating a “Phase Two” for the implemented Gnosis.

As far as the upcoming movies; it is my understanding that there is literally no information as there is no script. They are apparently using the Webcomic stories as test beds to let the fans vote which premise for a story they would lost like to elaborate on in the movie…essentially letting the fans chose what the movie will be about (within select choices).

So far I am intrigued and it has interested me and that’s good enough for me
