Regarding the site banners...

…Which, by the way, I think are an exceptionally cool idea, as I've said before.

I'm just a tad bit curious how one finds out if a banner has been accepted or rejected and if rejected, why?

I too think this is a wonderful idea to prmote the members' sites. Im about to add a banner myself, I dont think the administrator(s) can reject, except if its pornography, or anything like that. Sorry, i was using it as an example. Will you guys except a site about games, such as Warhammer, HeroClix and WarCry?

Huh. Well, I added a banner a few weeks ago, but I never heard whether it was accepted or rejected. My WHOLE site isn't about Ghostbusters, but there's a section that is, and it's pretty easy to find from my domain URL.

I wondered mainly if I would hear if it was accepted or rejected…

There are exactly three reasons why a banner may be rejected.

1) The banner promotes a non-Ghostbusters related site. The site must be 100% dedicated to Ghostbusters.

2) The banner must be exactly 468X60 pixels or smaller. Any larger, it is unfair to other banners and will be deleted.

3) Only one banner per website. So if someone submits another, one has to go.

All these rules are here to make it fair for everyone. Banners are shown equally throughout the site.

As per rule three, could you make it so that if you submit a new banner, the old is deleted? I've tried submitting a new GBComm banner, but no such luck.

Well, that would explain it. My site has a great many things on it, and part of it is Ghostbusters. However, since I have no overiding desire to submit a banner that links straight to the Ghostbusters part, nor do I have any desire to give the one section its own subdomain, then I guess my site is SOL. ‘Fraid I’m not keen on internal links.

Thank you for clarifying the rules; I think you should add them to the banner add system so people don't have to wait so long to find out if somethig was accepted or rejected, or waste their time with it.
