However I'm still skeptical of the Year One writers, there wasn't a thing I liked about the trailer for that film, other than Jack Black, but I wouldn't want him in a Ghostbusters film.

I was pleasantly surprised by year one, don't let the trailers fool you, I thought it was a pretty funny, enjoyable film.

I can't disagree with this more.

I gave it a chance because of who the writers were, and it looked at least a little funny to me. It was downright horrible. I wouldn't watch it again if I was paid to.

That said, it doesn't leave me without hope that these writers can pump out something good. I love a lot of the stuff on The Office, so that leaves me quite hopeful for the script for GBIII.

Since we're all going to die, I hope the movie focuses on ancient methods of immortality like mummification or something like that. When I was going to high school everyday back in 2003, I dreamt of gb3 on the bus to school. I wanted it to be a bit like citizen's ghost, with the gbs fighting zombie versions of themselves. And I wanted Peter to become a ghost in the end after dying to save the gang, running counter to how he always stands back and complains. In the end he's in heaven with a bunch of beautiful angels. But the guys bring him back to life to his disspointment using the lazarus method from casper.

After what happened with Hellbent, I didn't think we'd ever be this close to seeing GB3 happen. It's the last of the movies I've been waiting for with a reputation for never happening, and I'm certainly hoping it goes ahead.

Of all the details we've heard, Venkman being a ghost, if true, is the thing I'm most not responding to. That's just not something I'd like to see in the new movie.
