Reitman or Ramis?

I remember reading some time ago that if GB3 was made then Harold Ramis would probably direct it and Ivan Reitman would just be the producer. I think this is the best thing to do after all the crap over GB2. I think a GB3 needs new direction, especially considering Reitman's latest works (Evolution, Road Trip, etc.). Needless to say, Ivan's a bit rusty. However, I do have faith in Ramis' ability to direct “smart” comedies (Bedazzled, Multiplicity, etc.). I think he is the better choice. Who do you all choose?

Multiplicity was great but Bedazzled falls in the same category as Road Trip. I'd still prefer Harold, and giving him only a supporting role in the movie. I think it's time for a change.

To be honest Ramis has become a higher profile director than Reitman now. He has also directed some excellent comedies such as Analyse This and, of course, Groundhog day. I'd be happy with either directing it.

Well they booth know what they're doing and if Ramis were to write the film as well, the vision he and Aykroyd have would be better translated onto the big screen.

I'd rather see his royal HOTTness ON-SCREEN than behind the lens!

I would by far put Bedazzled and Road Trip in the same category. Road Trip was just a dumb movie(everything that Sean William Scott plays in seems to be dumb) with endless pervertic jokes concerning bodily fluids. Bedazzled actually tries to be funny without all that stuff. Keep ‘em comin’.

To me it doesn't really matter. But I do agree that Ramis has slightly more box-office clout lately (the two Analyze This/That films). Reitman has been in a funk. And the truth seems from those old GB3 news, it looks like Reitman never really wanted to direct another GB movie. But did want to be a part of it. If thats how he feels than that means his heart and energy isn't going to be 100% behind the camera. I agree that Ramis can put the energy and his thoughts into the picture if he co-wrote it and directed GB3.
As for his acting…he is very old looking now. His hair has almost gone white, yet not too long ago he was in a film called Orange County and his hair was still dark but greying. Now White. Egon would look so much like a senior.
